The 9th Annual
Building Strategies for Success is fast approaching
and your committee is now putting the finishing
touches on what promises to be yet another great
networking day and educational event. The CEU
applications have been filed, menus have been
chosen, vendor areas and needs established, AV
equipment arranged and a myriad of things one never
thinks about to run a day event are all falling into
place.
We have sought out
speakers based on requests from you, the membership,
on the forms you complete at the end of each and
every program you attend. The program will include
the topics of ethics, communication skills and time
management.
We are pleased to
have internationally recognized Diann Uustal, RN,
MS, ED present informative sessions on ethical
questions and issues we all encounter on a daily
basis in the arena of ethics of care and quality of
life.
Les Cavicchi has
extensive experience in settings related to
healthcare delivery and is a group facilitator who
has worked with MCOs, insurance companies and health
plans. His presentation will help us gain increased
success in influencing others with each
communication.
As a woman
educated in Industrial Psychology and a career in
Corporate America, Wendy Kaufman presents her
knowledge and personal experiences to provide
audiences with encouragement to think differently,
empower them with new tools to management time and
reduce stress with humor.
Purpose Statement
Each
day we are bombarded with situations that test our
inner most convictions. We question... are we
doing what is morally right for our
clients, our employer and ourselves? Are we
communicating clearly to provide the best possible
information, which will result in a good outcome for
those with whom we interact? Are we making the
most of our time so that stress can become a
manageable occurrence versus a consuming waste of
precious time? This conference will provide
you with the skills to evaluate ethical dilemmas you
experience, to take the opportunity to help you make
every communication effective and to find the humor
in avoiding stress through time management.
Overall Conference Objectives
1.
Explore how ethics plays a role in the decision
making involved in the delivery of case management
services.
2.
Identify the importance of effective communication
skills to create a more cooperative working
environment.
3.
Discuss ways in which time management skills can
reduce stress and create a healthier and more
effective personal and professional relationship.
