Partnering with CMSA
Ways in which the New
England Chapter is partnering with National are
identified below:
Learning and Development
|
CMSNE provides learning and development
opportunities to all case managers in a variety
of locations. Each Chapter Extension hosts a
variety of educational meetings throughout the
year. In addition, we have three committees
dedicated to educational events
 |
Annual Conference Committee |
 |
Leadership Committee |
 |
Program Committee |
CMSNE utilizes feedback from members to
determine the focus of supplemental programs.
CMSNE ha s hosted focus groups
to learn about the needs of hospital-based case
managers. Soon thereafter, a e-mail group was
created and remains active to this day. More day-long
focused educational programs have been held with
good turnout.
CMSNE reviews all program evaluations for
suggestions on future programs and improvements.

|
Promoting the Value of Case Management Through
Marketing &
Public Relations
|
CMSNE supports educating the general public, as
well as those within the healthcare arena in the
following ways:
 |
CMSNE branding of promotional items such as
the briefcase tote distributed at our annual
conference |
 |
Utilization of Public Relations Consultant to
support earlier chapter efforts in developing
relationships with vendors and providers |
 |
Established and developed a fully
public-accessible website |
 |
Annual Case Management Week celebration,
including contact with all Directors of Case
Management within chapter boundaries, creation
of CM Week poster |
 |
Close partnerships with our Corporate Sponsors
who support our educational efforts and
provide participants with valuable resource
information |

|
Building the Future
|
CMSNE conducts focus groups to help identify
areas of interest to members. This effort, in
conjunction with the membership-wide survey
effort and strategic planning meetings of the
Executive Board, helps keep the Chapter on track
and moving forward.

Case Management
Adherence Guidelines
Emphasizing the importance
of adherence to medication regimens to patients is a
major challenge facing healthcare professionals
today. CMSA kicked off a nationwide adherence
education effort through the creation of Case
Management Adherence Guidelines (CMAGs). This
ongoing effort is highlighted on the CMSA website (www.cmsa.org).
