Successful Annual conference October 1 & 2, 2015: “Managing the Seasons of Life - Case Management from Birth to End of Life” began with a Halloween Bash.
The CMSNE Annual conference opened with a Halloween Bash with food, costumes, and music. Attendees voted on exhibitor prizes for best costume and booth decorations and the winners were:
The conference was well attended with 320 attendees on Thursday and 210 on Friday. General speakers and breakout sessions covered many topics that case managers deal with on a daily basis for patient populations from the newborn/early childhood to the elder. There was a special session on “Caring for Caregivers across the Seasons of Life” and additional breakfast, lunch and dinner programs for participants.
Given the feedback on low attendance in the exhibitor hall on Fridays, the committee changed exhibitor hours to Wednesday evening and all day Thursday. The feedback has been positive on this change.
9 posters were displayed in the main Ballroom to allow for more visibility. Feedback was also positive on this change. Next year, we will make sure to have more room around the poster sessions.
In early December, the 2016 committee will begin working on next year’s Annual conference.
