President Elect

Shahzina S. Karim, BA, BSW, MSW, LICSW, CCM is the Senior Director of Care Management at Boston Children’s Hospital. She has 27 years of healthcare experience of which the last 19 have been in healthcare administration leading Care Management, Behavioral Health and Population Health. At BCH she is responsible for creating a coherent and unified system that ensures all patients have access to the resources they need to navigate a complex landscape along the continuum of care.

She is in charge of shaping and delivering the next generation of care management both at Boston Children’s and across a diverse spectrum of partners. She originally comes from Vancouver, BC Canada and has experience working in both Canadian and American hospital systems. She has conducted numerous presentations and facilitated many trainings for population health, behavioral health, as well as care management strategies. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of British Columbia and is a CCM.
