I am ran for a CMSNE board position, as I believe the support we provide each other is invaluable, and hope to extend that to the members, bringing member concerns and recommendations forward to the board. Working as a Military Case Manager, covering Maine, NH, VT, and northern MA, I interact with both rural and urban care centers and see a variety of needs that case managers consistently are able to assist with, and excel with. Case management and care coordination entwine with every aspect of healthcare. Connections, communication, and “building the bridges” to care for our patients, and for our military population, remain a strong focus. Support and education for peers, and for those interested in the field of case management are critical in order to continue to keep pace with the ever-evolving health care setting.
